On May 15, the 14th China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Expo (hereinafter referred to as the Mineral Expo) opened at the Chenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. With the theme "Dinosaurs Soaring into the Blue Sky—The Mineral Kingdom of the Dinosaur World," this year's Mineral Expo features seven major thematic activities, including auctions, study tours, seminars, and exhibitions.

The exhibition area of this Mineral Expo spans approximately 60,000 square meters, encompassing 1,200 international standard booths. It is divided into four major exhibition zones: the Minerals, Crystals, Fossils, and Meteorites Zone; the Colored Gemstones Zone; the Art Crafts Zone; and the Ornamental Stones Zone, attracting 612 domestic and international exhibitors.

The expo has launched a series of activities for residents and youth groups. On the afternoons of May 16 and 17, a "little geologist" educational tour for children aged 5 to 10 was held in the science popularization area of Hall B on the second floor. A culture, art, and painting exhibition with mineral gemstones and natural geology as creative themes was launched. A mini-exhibition focused on young consumer groups, promoting mineral crystal collection into daily life in a low-barrier and youthful format.

A retrospective exhibition on the Mineral Expo's twelve years of achievements is being held concurrently, showcasing the themes and representative specimens from past sessions, from the 3rd "Year of the Mineral Crystal Capital" to the 13th "Picking a Star for You." The exhibition presents a panoramic view of the expo's growth trajectory from its inception to expansion.

Extending from the exhibition halls to the entire city, the Mineral Expo Organizing Committee has planned thematic cultural tourism routes around the expo, linking Feitian Mountain's Danxia landform, Dongjiang Lake's clear waters and green mountains, Baoshan Mine Park's industrial and mining relics, and Shizhuyuan Non-ferrous Metal Mine, creating a one-stop experience of "visiting the Mineral Expo, admiring mineral crystals, and touring Chenzhou."
