On the morning of May 15, Wang Yi'ou, vice governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, met in Changsha with a delegation led by Botir Zaripov, khokim of the Bukhara Region, Uzbekistan.
Vice Governor Wang Yi'ou extended welcome to the Uzbek guests and briefed them on Hunan's economic and social development. He noted that Hunan and Uzbekistan have a solid foundation for cooperation and have achieved fruitful results, while Hunan and Bukhara Region share strong economic complementarity and vast potential for collaboration. He expressed the hope that both sides would continue to deepen economic, trade, and industrial cooperation; comprehensively strengthen collaboration across the agricultural and farm machinery whole chain; pragmatically advance cooperation in energy, infrastructure, and technological innovation; accelerate the development of friendship-city relationships and people-to-people exchanges; and enhance mutual understanding and affinity between the people of both regions.
Botir Zaripov stated that China and Uzbekistan have maintained long-term close ties, with a deep traditional friendship between their peoples and a solid foundation for cooperation. He noted that his visit to Hunan was highly productive, and invited more Hunan-based enterprises to invest and establish businesses in Bukhara Region, while strengthening exchanges and cooperation in areas such as agriculture, healthcare, housing and urban development, cultural tourism, and green energy.
