On May 5, the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism released the latest cultural tourism data during the May Day holiday. According to telecommunication data, the province recorded a total of 25.3027 million tourist trips during the May Day holiday, including 4.8517 million made by people from outside the province and 20.4510 million by tourists from within Hunan.
Based on big data modeling from visitor flow monitoring cameras, the 216 monitored scenic spots at 4A-level and above recorded a cumulative total of 6.577 million visits. Of these, 20 attractions (sites) across 12 5A-level scenic spots recorded 2.7848 million visits, while 204 4A-level scenic spots recorded 3.7922 million visits. The 357 monitored accommodation units recorded a cumulative total of 342,700 visits.
