Recently, the Longwang Cave Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie opened for trial operations following a major upgrade. Offering a brand-new travel experience to tourists nationwide, the scenic area has become a signature attraction along Zhangjiajie's eastern travel route, providing visitors with an immersive journey to the earth's core.

Located 17 kilometers east of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie, the Longwang Cave is a massive limestone karst cave with a history of approximately 380 million years. Its name originated from a legend about a dragon king dwelling in the deep pool outside the cave. Discovered in 1979, the site has been managed by the Huanglong Cave Investment Co., Ltd. since 2013.
The cave maintains a constant temperature year round between 15 and 20°C. Spanning over 30 kilometers in length with a floor area exceeding 400,000 square meters, the area features 58 halls and 28 corridors. Its water system is abundant and fluctuates in a regular pattern; on full moon nights, the water level can rise suddenly by 15 meters, which is believed to be connected to the ocean tides. The site is hailed as the "Gateway to the Earth's Core."

Admission for adults is 70 yuan per person, and the discounted ticket is 35 yuan per person. Children under 14 and seniors over 65 are eligible for free admission. The scenic area authorities remind visitors that the cave floor is slippery, so non-slip shoes and a light jacket are recommended. The entire tour takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, and visitors are asked to behave in a civilized manner during the tour and avoid peak hours.
