Vice Governor Jiang Meets with Hungarian Guests

On March 19, Jiang Difei, vice governor of Hunan Province, met with Hungarian Ambassador to China Mate Pesti and his delegation in Changsha.

Jiang Difei briefed the delegation on Hunan Province's recent economic and social development. He noted that in recent years, exchanges and cooperation between Hunan and Hungary have become increasingly close. He expressed the hope to further deepen friendship city ties, thereby driving sustained cooperation in areas such as economy and trade, advanced manufacturing, and humanistic education, and yielding more fruitful results.

Mate Pesti thanked Hunan for its warm reception. He noted that Hungary and China have a long-standing friendly relationship, and that the Belt and Road Initiative has played a positive role in promoting economic development for both countries. During this visit to Hunan, he observed the unique strengths of the province's industries, including construction machinery, energy and electricity, and expressed the hope to elevate the friendship and cooperation between the two sides to a new level.

During their stay in Hunan, Mate Pesti and his delegation attended the opening ceremony of solo exhibitions on "Gaze and Reverie: A Hungarian Art Duo" and visited enterprises including Zoomlion, Wasion Group, Sany Heavy Industry, and CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive. Bálint Czégel, consul general of Hungary in Chongqing, attended the meeting.
