109 Train Trips Made via China-Europe Freight Train Service in Changsha in January

At 00:29 on February 12, a China-Europe freight train loaded with construction machinery, automobiles and parts, small appliances, and other goods departed from Changsha International Railway Port under the supervision of Xingsha Customs Authority, a branch of the Changsha Customs Authority. The train will cross the border via Manzhouli Port and is expected to arrive at Bely Rast Station in Russia in 14 days, marking the start of Eurasian freight operations in the new year.

"Since the beginning of this year, the volume of goods exported via the China-Europe freight train service in Changsha has increased significantly. Besides the Hunan cargoes, those from provinces such as Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Anhui, and Hubei have also converged here," said Mo Shengjie, a customs officer directing vehicles through the H986 inspection equipment on-site.

The surge in freight volume stems from the robust growth momentum of the China-Europe freight train service in Changsha. Data reveals that in January 2026, the Xingsha Customs Authority supervised 109 import and export trains of the China-Europe freight train service in Changsha, marking a 101.9% year-on-year increase. Both import and export operations achieved rapid growth, laying a solid foundation for the development throughout the year.

In 2025, the China-Europe freight train service in Changsha achieved remarkable results, operating 1,037 train trips throughout the year. This marked the fifth consecutive year surpassing the 1,000-train threshold and the seventh consecutive year maintaining its position among the nation's top performers in train operations. The cumulative total of train trips of the China-Europe freight train service exceeded 6,500. Currently, there are 12 regular  premium routes operated through the China-Europe freight train service in Changsha, connecting nearly 30 countries and 100 cities across Eurasia.
