On February 11, a Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal international freight train, fully loaded with auto parts, departed along the dedicated railway line of a Hunan-based port economic and trade development company. It is heading for Guangzhou's Nansha Port before being transferred to sea transport. This marked the 2,000th train trip since the launch of the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal international freight train service in 2021. (Photo/Meng Xianglin)

The freight train service features Zhuzhou as its primary hub, with Hengyang and Chenzhou serving as secondary hubs. Foreign trade goods from Hunan and China's central and western regions are gathered here, transported by rail to ports in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and then shipped globally by sea. In 2025, a total of 58,299 containers were handled via the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa freight train service, a 23.9% year-on-year increase, with cargo value rising by 17.28%. (Photo/Meng Xianglin)
