Changsha Receives 425,900 Inbound Tourist Trips in 2025

The latest data showed that Changsha received 425,900 inbound tourist trips in 2025, with tourism spending reaching 335 million USD. The two figures represented a year-on-year increase of 40.45% and 40.07% respectively, calculated based on comparable caliber. The number of trips made by foreign tourists entering China via the Changsha port ranked first among provincial capital cities in central China.


Hunan's ports handled over 1.64 million entries and exits in 2025, marking a 0.9% year-on-year increase. Of the total, more than 1.12 million were made at the Changsha port, an increase of 6% compared to the previous year, highlighting Changsha's outstanding performance in the inbound tourism market throughout the year.


Changsha achieved notable recognition in Trip Group's 2026 Word-of-Mouth Travel Rankings, placing 23rd among the "Top 100 Must-Visit Destinations in Asia" and 40th globally. The city ranked first among cities in central China in the two rankings.
