Shaoyang-Yongzhou High-speed Railway Construction at Full Throttle

2026-01-15 Download Print

On January 14, workers carried out construction operations on a grand bridge along the Shaoyang-Yongzhou High-speed Railway crossing over the Shanghai-Kunming Expressway. Currently, the swivel bridge engineering along the Shaoyang-Yongzhou High-speed Railway—undertaken by the China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd.—has entered the critical phase of upper structure construction.

The bridge stands as one of the key controlling projects for the Shaoyang-Yongzhou High-speed Railway. The high-speed railway spans approximately 96 kilometers with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It serves as a vital segment of the Hohhot-Nanning High-speed Railway in China's high-speed rail network that centers around eight main vertical lines linking the north and south and eight horizontal lines connecting the east and west. Upon completion, the Shaoyang-Yongzhou High-speed Railway will significantly improve the regional railway network layout and promote the high-quality development in central regions of China.
