Vice Governor Wang Meets with Minister of State of Republic of the Congo

On January 12, Wang Daoxi, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and vice governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, met with Jean Jacques Bouya, minister of State and minister of Spatial Planning and Major Projects of the Republic of the Congo.

Vice Governor Wang noted that Hunan and Africa have witnessed more frequent and in-depth exchanges and cooperation in recent years, thanks to the establishment in Hunan of national-level platforms, including the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo and the Pioneering Zone for In-depth China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation. He expressed anticipation for strengthening communication and collaboration with the Republic of the Congo, aiming to establish a multi-faceted cooperation mechanism with Africa centered on economic and trade sectors. Efforts will also be made in such areas as friendship-city development, modern agriculture, health and wellness, and cooperation between youth and women's associations. These endeavors aim to jointly propel the Hunan-Africa partnership to new heights.

Minister Jean Jacques Bouya expressed his willingness to enhance cooperation with Hunan in scientific research, new technologies, renewable energy, and other areas; innovate cooperative mechanisms; and, advance the transformation of cooperative projects into tangible development outcomes.

The Hunan Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. and the Republic of the Congo signed a framework agreement on infrastructure construction cooperation during the meeting.
