"The Yongzhou team's championship in the Hunan Football League (HFL) is inseparable from the support of every Yongzhou resident. We feel deeply honored to promote agricultural products for Yongzhou residents," said Gao Xiang, the league's most valuable player and a member of the Yongzhou team. On January 3, Gao Xiang was formally appointed as an ambassador to boost the sales of agricultural products and promote cultural tourism for Jiangyong County.
On December 31, 2025, at the opening ceremony of the Second Yongzhou Supply and Marketing Fair (New Year Shopping Festival), Huang Churu, head coach of the Yongzhou team, made a public appearance alongside his players. They enthusiastically promoted distinctive agricultural products from across the city, boosting the festival's popularity and marking the beginning of the team's public welfare initiatives following their championship victory.
During the New Year's Day holiday, the team extended its public welfare efforts to the fields and orchards of Jiangyong and Daoxian counties. Jiangyong County boasts 138,000 mu (approximately 9,200 hectares) of pomelo plantations, with both yield and quality improved this year. On January 2, Yongzhou team players Tang Jianian, Gu Wenjie, Lin Hao, and Gao Xiang visited Cushijiang Town in Jiangyong County to launch a live-streaming session aimed at supporting local farmers. In front of the camera, they sampled the produce while earnestly sharing their tasting experience and explaining the growing conditions and nutritional value of the pomelos. The players' sincere promotion and down-to-earth interactions quickly energized the livestream, prompting fans to place orders in support.
Subsequently, He Weili, a professor and football team coach at Central South University, and Huang Churu, led players including Zhang Huayue and Zhang Tao to conduct a live-streaming session in a navel orange orchard in Daoxian County to support local farmers. Over 40 local live-streaming rooms collaborated simultaneously, selling 10,000 orders within the first hour alone. The entire event cumulatively sold 180,000 kilograms of Daoxian navel oranges, fulfilling 36,000 orders and directly helping farmers increase their income by 1.1 million CNY. To maximize the effect of the public welfare initiative, the local government would allocate 3 CNY from each order to public welfare projects. Additionally, the team was honored with the title of "Agriculture-aid Ambassador for Daozhou Navel Orange."
On January 3, Gao Xiang set off for Lanshan County to endorse local leather goods and luggage.
"We hope to capitalize on the buzz, tell Yongzhou stories well, and promote the city's specialties," said the players. Their words were simple yet resolute.
