On December 29, construction workers were busy erecting T-girders in Shimen County. With the precise installation of the last 32-meter-long, 140-tonne-weight simply-supported T-girder, all 22 T-girders of the Lishui Grand Bridge were successfully installed on the same day. The bridge is part of the 2×66 MW capacity expansion and upgrading project for a Shaanxi coal transport dedicated railway in Shimen County, undertaken by the China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. This marked that the railway capacity expansion and upgrading project has been fully completed.

The 2×66 MW capacity expansion and upgrading project for a Shaanxi coal transport dedicated railway in Shimen County is a key initiative under Hunan Province's 14th Five-Year Plan for Energy Development. The project represents a concrete step in advancing transformation of traditional coal-fired power generation toward high efficiency, low carbon emissions, clean energy, and smart operations. Upon completion, the project will achieve an annual electricity generation capacity of six billion kilowatt-hours. (Photo/Guo Liliang and Li Peirun)
