According to recent data from the Changsha Customs Authority, Hunan's exports of rail transit equipment reached 1.2 billion CNY in the first 11 months of 2025, marking a year-on-year increase of 24.2%.

On November 16 local time in Mexico, the Juanacatlán-Observatorio section of the Mexico City Metro Line 1 modernization project opened to traffic, marking the full operation of all 20 stations along the line. Undertaken by the CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd., the modernization of the line is also CRRC's first overseas "system+" project. It encompasses investment and financing, the manufacture of new trains, as well as communication system upgrading for existing vehicles and full system maintenance. The service period will last for 19 years.

In the first 11 months, Hunan saw substantial growth in exports to countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), ASEAN, and the EU. Exports of rail transit equipment to the BRI countries reached 520 million CNY, up 37.5%; exports to the EU totaled 330 million CNY, rising 55.2%; while exports to ASEAN and China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region both amounted to 220 million CNY, increasing by 127.4% and 39.8% respectively.

Since the beginning of this year, Hunan's rail transit equipment sector has achieved a monthly export value exceeding 100 million CNY for six months, with significant growth in exports of multiple types of complete vehicle equipment. The railway electric locomotives powered by AC motors, which recorded no exports in the first 11 months of last year, achieved exports worth 200 million CNY during the same period this year. Exports of battery-powered railway electric locomotives reached 190 million CNY, marking an increase of 16.3 times. Exports of rail transit components grew by 60.1%.
