The photo above, taken on December 4, shows a mechanized white radish harvester independently developed by Hunan Agricultural University conducting harvesting operations at a vegetable greenhouse in Shashi Village, Shashi Town, Liuyang City. This marks China's first white radish harvester designed for southern regions. With a width of two meters and a length exceeding four meters, the machine features simple and flexible operation, making it adapt to small plots in southern hilly areas. Compared to traditional manual methods, a single unit achieves the efficiency equivalent to 10 workers, significantly reducing labor input. (Photo/Xu Xing and Hu Panpan, Hunan Daily)
