An art exhibition featuring Qingzhou-style Buddha statues kicked off at the Hunan Museum on November 21. The exhibition brings together 67 exquisite Buddha statues of the Northern Dynasties (386-581) from multiple cultural institutions, including the Qingzhou Museum, the Zhucheng Museum, and the Shandong Museum. With "Oriental Aesthetics" as its core theme, the exhibition systematically traces the artistic lineage of Qingzhou-style Buddha statues from an academic perspective. Through innovative exhibition design, digital displays, educational activities, and cultural and creative product development, it creates a comprehensive cultural experience that bridges the past and present while blending aesthetics and spirituality. It invites visitors to explore the aesthetic philosophy behind those eternal smiles. (Photo/Guo Liliang, Hunan Daily)
