During the meeting on the evening of November 19, Governor Mao remarked that, Hunan in recent years has thoroughly implemented President Xi Jinping's important directives on digital economy. The province has been vigorously consolidating "three critical supports"—electricity, computing power, and power; adhering to the layout of "integrated development of computing power, algorithms, computing data, and computing networks"; and, continuously reinforced the foundations while enhancing technological innovation, expanding industrial clusters, and building an application ecosystem. Hunan has cultivated the only national-level industrial cluster in the computing field, and the "Tianhe" supercomputer at the National Supercomputing Center in Changsha has secured first place globally in graph computation performance.

Governor Mao noted that, currently, Hunan is fully carrying out the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Communist Party of China (CPC). With the implementation of the "AI Plus" initiative as a key driver and aiming at building a "computing power at the front rank nationally," Hunan is striving to create a top-tier AI industry hub in the country. He called on all parties to join hands with Hunan to jointly construct the computing power infrastructure, break through key technological bottlenecks, and explore integrated application scenarios, working hand in hand to chart a new chapter of the high-quality development in the computing industry.

Deputy Secretary Xie stated that hosting the World Computing Conference represents both a concrete action to implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and a significant measure to continuously develop Hunan into a national hub for important and advanced manufacturing industries, a sci-tech and innovation center with core competitiveness, and a pacesetter for reform and the opening-up of China's inland regions. In recent years, Hunan has positioned the computing industry as the core engine of its digital economy, forging a path of innovative development with distinct Hunan characteristics. Xie expressed his hope to leverage this conference as an opportunity to join hands with all distinguished guests in building robust supportive new infrastructure, establishing a powerful new technology system, creating a vibrant new industrial ecosystem with strong radiating effects, and sharing new application scenarios with enhanced collaborative support, and thus enjoying the benefits of the computing world together.

The conference features 12 core events, including one high-level opening ceremony and keynote forum, five specialized sessions focusing on cutting-edge computing topics, five dedicated events centered on the industry's development empowered by technologies, and an exhibition showcasing innovation achievements.
