On the same day, concrete pouring was completed for the bridge pier No. 130 of the Airport Expressway Super Bridge, a key control project of the Changsha-Ganzhou High-speed Railway built by the China Railway No. 5 Engineering Group. This is the first pier poured in the Hunan section of the railway.
The Changsha-Ganzhou High-speed Railway connects Changsha City in Hunan Province with Ganzhou City in Jiangxi Province. It is a vital part of the Xiamen-Chongqing corridor in China's high-speed rail network that centers around eight main vertical lines linking the north and south and eight horizontal lines connecting the east and west.
