Anhua County Hosts Celebrations for Chongyang Festival

On October 28, a Chongyang Festival themed event was held in Tangshi Community, Dongping Town, Anhua County. The Chongyang Festival, also known as the Double Ninth Festival, is an annual festival to show respect and care for the elderly throughout China. The festival falls on the ninth day of the ninth Chinese lunar month, which is on October 29 this year. Over 500 villagers gathered at Tangjiaguan Ancient Street to savor traditional leicha, or ground tea, and enjoy folk performances. This marks the third consecutive year the community has hosted distinctive Chongyang Festival celebrations.
