The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently released 60 premium autumn travel routes for the 2025 Beautiful Countryside Leisure Tourism Event. Changde's Dingcheng landscape and rural idyll route makes the list. Attractions in Dingcheng District such as the Daozuoyuan Base and the Huaxi Bay offer visitors excellent opportunities to immerse themselves in rural landscapes, savor the charm of countryside life, and share the joy of harvest.

The Daozuoyuan Base is located in Caoping Town, Dingcheng District, just over 20 kilometers from downtown Changde. It is recognized as a five-star leisure farm and a five-star rural tourism site in Hunan Province. The base features distinctive areas including the Dujuan Lake Farming Culture Experience Zone, the Fenglinkou Wenjia Uprising Revolutionary Education Zone, the Daozuoyuan Traditional Cultural Zone, and the Rice Cultivation Civilization Exhibition Area. The base, alongside with the surrounding eco-agricultural sightseeing experience gardens and Caoping Town, has been developed into a comprehensive learning and practice center and an integrated zone for agriculture, culture, and tourism.

Located in Huayanxi Town of Dingcheng District, Huaxi Bay is known as the "source of the Wangshui River and the home of egrets." Connected by mountains and waters to Huayanxi National Forest Park, Taohuayuan Scenic Area, and Wuyunjie Scenic Area, Huaxi Bay is a comprehensive agricultural eco-tourism destination integrating aquaculture, plantation, sightseeing, fishing, leisure vacationing, and water recreation.

In recent years, Hunan's agricultural and rural authorities have vigorously developed a variety of agricultural functions and tapped multiple types of value in rural areas. The authorities have continuously promoted cross-sector integration of leisure agriculture with tourism, technology, education, culture, fitness, elderly care, and the sharing economy.
