Recently, five new 4A-level tourist attractions were recommended by local government tourist attraction quality rating committees and evaluated in accordance with national standards and regulations by the provincial tourist attraction quality rating committee. The five scenic areas have met the requirements for a national 4A-level tourist attraction and are granted with a 4A rating.

The five 4A-rated tourist attractions are as follows:
-- Qinglongyan Scenic Area, Shuangpai County, Yongzhou City;
-- Jingping Ancient Village Scenic Area, Zhongfang County, Huaihua City;
-- Gaoyi Ancient Village Scenic Area, Huitong County, Huaihua City;
-- Eryou Mountain Scenic Area, Yuanling County, Huaihua City; and,
-- Youzhuang-Dayou Academy Scenic Area, Chenxi County, Huaihua City
