The 10th China International Food & Catering Expo is scheduled to be held in Changsha from September 19 to 21. Themed "Promoting Consumption for Innovative Development," this year's expo has attracted over 1,400 enterprises, displaying more than 10,000 products.
Initiated in 2016, the expo has undergone a decade of meticulous operation and brand development. Over the period, the exhibition scale has steadily expanded, platform functions have been significantly enhanced, and brand influence has grown substantially. The previous nine editions, with a cumulative exhibition area of 692,000 square meters, attracted over 13,400 exhibitors and recceived 1.358 million visits. The value of on-site transactions and intended orders reached approximately 32.45 billion CNY, effectively promoting connections between upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain and driving consumption growth.
This year's expo has undergone comprehensive quality upgrades, featuring six indoor exhibition halls with a total area of 81,000 square meters. Delegations from eight regions outside Hunan Province—Fujian, Xinjiang, Guangxi, Hainan, Heilongjiang, Shanxi, Zunyi, and Hubei—along with 27 foreign countries such as South Korea and Australia, as well as the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China, have gathered in Changsha. Nine cities and counties across the province have also actively sent delegations to the expo, to jointly showcase diverse culinary cultures.
This year's expo adheres to green concepts. A real-scene exhibition booth for the New Materials Research Center has been established, aiming to drive the industry toward low-carbon, efficient, and sustainable development. Leveraging Hunan's platform advantages, including the previous China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, a special zone for African quality products has been set up to introduce multiple high-quality African food products such as coffee and red wine.
Meanwhile, 15 high-quality economic and trade events will be organized during the expo, focusing on the industry's hot topics such as Hunan cuisine innovation, food circulation and procurement, the integration of food and e-commerce, and marketing of characteristic agricultural products. These events include the "Hunan Agricultural Elites" Brand Conference and the Medicine-Food E-commerce Ecosystem Partner Conference.
