Hunan Province has been meticulously planning the development blueprint for the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030), committed to "being open to advice." Since June 25, the provincial authority has launched an online consultation campaign to solicit public opinion for its next five-year plan, attracting comprehensive participation and sincere suggestions from internet users. To date, nearly one million internet users have submitted their input on Hunan's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) through the special column on the provincial website. Thousands of "golden ideas" have been collected through the "I Contribute Ideas for Hunan's 15th Five-Year Plan" special column.
The suggestions made by internet users have covered a wide range of topics, including upgrading and spatial distribution of industries, investment attraction and introduction, scientific and technological innovation, infrastructure construction and urban-rural integration, ensuring people's well-being and public services, cultural tourism development, rural revitalization, and ecological and environmental protection. In particular, many internet users have closely aligned their suggestions with Hunan's actual development needs, offering targeted and valuable recommendations on such issues as the construction of Hunan's modern "4×4" industrial system, the return of Hunan entrepreneurs, the development of the Xiangjiang Science Town, and the building of high-speed railway and expressway integrated corridors. The Hunan Daily and the Hunan Today platforms have selected and publicly released some high-quality suggestions from the internet users.
The online consultation campaign will last until the end of August, soliciting ideas through online comments, emails, and letters. During this period, in addition to the special column collecting online comments, other opinions and suggestions collected will be summarized and organized by relevant departments, and then carefully studied as an important reference for the compilation of Hunan Province's 15th Five-Year Plan.
