The Organizing Committee of the 2025 Changsha Marathon announced on July 28 that the event will be held on October 26 (Sunday), with registration open from 10:00 on July 31. This year's marathon will see 35,000 runners. The event consists of three categories: a full marathon (42.195 km), a half marathon (21.0975 km), and a fun run (approximately 5 km).

According to the arrangements, this year's Changsha Marathon will increase the number of participants by 5,000 compared to last year. In particular, the number of participants for the full marathon will increase from 12,000 to 15,000, while the half marathon will see its participant count rise from 13,000 to 16,000. In contrast, the fun run will see a decrease in participants, dropping from 5,000 to 4,000. 

Participants can register through the official website or WeChat mini program of the 2025 Changsha Marathon, the "Bank of Changsha" APP or its official WeChat account, the "Digital Heartbeat" APP, or the "Mala Mala" APP. Each participant can only choose one category among the full marathon, half marathon, individual fun run, and family fun run.

The registration and payment period for this year's Changsha Marathon is from 10:00 on July 31 to 17:00 on August 6. The draw results will be announced at 10:00 on August 27, and the race numbers will be published at 10:00 on September 30. All participants can log in to the Changsha Marathon official website or WeChat mini program to check their race numbers.
