Wu Lan Meets with Hungarian Guests

Wu Lan, secretary of the CPC Leadership Group and deputy director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Hunan Province, met with Jakab István, deputy speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary, and his entourage in Changsha on July 8, 2025.

Wu Lan welcomed the guests and briefed them on Hunan Province. She said that Hunan Province will unswervingly expand high-level opening up under the framework of the China-Hungary friendship. The province looks forward to strengthening cooperation with Hungary in economy, trade, and investment, science and technology, agriculture, and friendship cities. The Secretary added that efforts will be made to deepen exchanges between the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress and the Hungarian local parliments, making Hunan's contributions to the development of China-Hungary relations.

Jakab István expressed his gratitude for Hunan's warm reception. He remarked that the next step will be to foster exchanges between the two sides in science and technology, culture, education, and human resources, aiming to address common challenges and boost comprehensive development.

Also attending were Zhang Jianfei, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Hunan Province, and Wang Xiaoke, secretary general of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Hunan Province.

The Hungarian guests also visited the Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co., Ltd. and the Hunan University of Technology and Business.
