A batch of "Sunshine Rose" grapes weighing 13 tonnes was delivered to Malaysia after completing customs inspection at Changde Customs on July 3. This was the first export shipment of such grapes this year, shipped one month earlier than last year.
To grasp the window of opportunity in the international market and gain a "fresh" advantage, the Changde Customs Authority arranged related work in advance, including early intervention, monitoring, and customs clearance. It also added fresh fruits to the pilot list of "batch inspection" reform for exported agricultural and food products. With the exported grapes passing on-site customs inspection, other fruits within the same batch are exempt from repeated on-site checks, enabling a streamlined process of application, inspection, and release.
Hunan's "Sunshine Rose" grapes have been sold to more than 10 regions worldwide, including Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Africa. It is estimated that the exports will hit 5,000 tonnes this year, recording a year-on-year growth of more than 30 percent.
