Hunan's rail transit equipment exports reached 590 million CNY from January to May this year, marking a 57.1% year-on-year increase, according to recent data from the Changsha Customs Authority.

China's Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, and Germany are the main importers of Hunan's rail transit equipment.

From January to May, Hunan's exports of rail transit equipment to China's Hong Kong reached 120 million CNY, surging 3.2 times year-on-year and accounting for 19.6% of the province's total rail transit equipment exports. Exports to Kazakhstan and Germany soared by 60.2 times and 51.6%, respectively.

Zhuzhou and Changsha are the key producing areas. During the January-May period, Zhuzhou exported 550 million CNY worth of rail transit equipment, up 59.8% and making up 92% of the provincial total. Changsha exported 41.98 million CNY of such equipment, growing by 64.4%.
