Just as the fourth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) concluded, the Gaoqiao Parallel Exhibition Hall in the Yuhua Block of the China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area began its year-round, 365-day routine operation. The venue is still bustling with visitors.

During the expo, the Gaoqiao Parallel Exhibition Hall organized a total of 45 thematic events and inspection tours, attracting more than 17,000 exhibitors and purchasers, with over 70,000 visits recorded. Forty-four projects were contracted, with the number of signed agreements increasing by 29.4% compared to the previous session. Among them, 25 projects were valued at over 100 million CNY, covering sectors such as agriculture, new energy, and overseas warehouse construction.

Yuhua District was deeply engaged in the main venue activities, achieving several "breakthroughs." For the first time, the district hosted the Quality African Products Online Shopping Season at the main venue. It also launched two key initiatives, the China-Africa Economic and Trade Digital Comprehensive Service Platform and the Tanzania Nonferrous Metals Testing Laboratory, and successfully signed the China-Africa Economic and Trade Headquarters Base Project.

The Quality African Products Online Shopping Season adopted an integrated online and offline model to bring African agricultural and food products into pop-up stores in supermarkets and live streaming platforms. The pop-up stores attracted nearly 50,000 participants. The China-Africa Economic and Trade Headquarters Base Project has begun global investment promotion efforts, focusing on building an ecosystem that combines headquarter economy, exhibition economy, and industry-commerce integration. It is expected to be completed and operational by 2027. Additionally, agricultural cooperation between Hunan and Africa has yielded significant results. The Liberia Sorghum Liquor Whole Industrial Chain Project secured an initial investment of over 20 million USD, with plans to achieve annual sales exceeding 50 million USD.

The Gaoqiao Parallel Exhibition Hall is committed to building a comprehensive economic and trade platform that integrates administration, exhibition, trade, and services. It features distinctive areas such as a gourmet experience center and a China-Africa live streaming room, offering visitors an immersive experience of African culture. Over 160 high-quality products are newly showcased, including Malagasy lamb, Tanzanian fish maw, and Tanzanian ornamental fish. Notably, products like Mauritian beer and Kenyan soap made their first appearance in the domestic market.
