2025 Cultural and Natural Heritage Day Marked in Linwu County

Linwu County Authority launched the "2025 Cultural and Natural Heritage Day and Linwu Opera Cultural and Art Exhibition in Scenic Area" event in Dishuiyuan Scenic Area on June 14, 2025. Various activities such as opera performances, intangible cultural heritage products exhibition, and intangible cultural heritage food tasting were held to showcase the outcomes of local intangible cultural heritage protection, boosting in-depth integration of intangible cultural heritage and tourism.


Linwu County is the only county-level jurisdiction in Hunan Province designated as a Provincial Opera Culture Ecological Protection (Experimental) Zone. Local culture and tourism departments have actively organized colorful opera culture and art exhibition activities, effectively promoting the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage items in the county. There are now one national-level, six provincial-level, 13 municipal-level, and 31 county-level intangible cultural heritage protection items in the county.
