The 20th National Cultural and Natural Heritage Day was marked on June 14, 2025. Themed "revitalizing cultural heritage to showcase new brilliance", the main city events were launched in Changsha on that day.
Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, and Rao Quan, vice-minister of culture and tourism and head of the National Cultural Heritage Administration, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
Hunan provincial leaders Wu Guiying, Liu Hongbing, and Jiang Difei, as well as Sun Deli, deputy head of the National Cultural Heritage Administration, and Qu Hai, secretary general of the People's Government of Hunan Province, were present.

During the main city events period, a series of promotional exhibitions, selection and recommendation activities, and release events will be held, including a "revitalizing cultural heritage to showcase new brilliance" themed forum and a cultural heritage technology innovation forum.
Over 400 supporting activities will be organized across the province simultaneously, such as cultural relic exhibitions and special lectures. Additionally, a range of public benefit measures will be carried out, including ticket discounts, extended opening hours, and subsidized performances.
Changsha will launch ten supporting activities and five special thematic exhibitions, aiming to promote sharing of cultural relics preservation and utilization achievements by the people.
