Recently, the China-Africa Cross-border Trade Platform began operation at the China-Africa Economic and Trade Headquarters Building in the Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone. Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Alibaba's global e-commerce platform AliExpress established their presence simultaneously. This platform will help the zone further expand its trade with Africa and raise its opening-up level.

The core driving force behind the China-Africa Cross-border Trade Platform comes from the deep involvement of two global industry giants — AWS under Amazon and AliExpress under Alibaba Group. Both sides will leverage their advantages in resource and technology to create a fully functional and ecologically collaborative cross-border e-commerce industrial cluster in the Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone.

AliExpress will focus on building a China-Africa cross-border e-commerce industrial park based on the platform, implementing it through a "one core + three centers + five services" framework. Based on Alibaba's e-commerce platform resources, a cross-border e-commerce digital-intelligence innovation and trading hub with global reach will be established in the zone, aiming to promote deep integration of the regional digital economy and international trade.

The AWS Outbound Empowerment Center was inaugurated at the China-Africa Economic and Trade Headquarters Building. The center aims to integrate Amazon's global business systems, including Amazon e-commerce, intelligent logistics, smart voice assistants, devices, and video services, providing more resources and added value for global business expansion.
