Themed "Joining Hands for Shared Prosperity," the Zambia Pavilion Launching Ceremony and the Economic & Trade Investment Promotion Conference were held at the Permanent Exhibition Hall of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) in the Yuhua Block of the China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area on June 10. Zambian Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry Chipoka Mulenga led a high-level delegation of 12 members to attend the event. The Zambian guests joined hands with Chinese representatives including Guo Ning, deputy director general of the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, opening a new window for China-Africa economic and trade cooperation.

In his speech, Minister Chipoka Mulenga stated the inauguration of the Zambia National Pavilion is an important step in implementing the outcomes of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, providing a one-stop platform for Chinese enterprises to enter the Southern African market.
Deputy Director General Guo Ning remarked that as a pioneering zone for in-depth China-Africa economic and trade cooperation, Hunan has seen increasingly close trade ties with Africa. The launch of the Zambia National Pavilion will further promote complementary industrial collaboration between Hunan and Zambia, she added.

Witnessed by over 50 political and business representatives, Minister Chipoka Mulenga and Zambian Ambassador to China Ivan Zyuulu, as the guests of honor, joined Chinese leaders in unveiling the plaque of the Zambia National Pavilion. Located in the CAETE Permanent Exhibition Hall, the pavilion highlights remarkable achievements that Hunan and Zambia have made in agriculture, infrastructure construction, manufacturing, and other fields, aiming to facilitate the implementation of more high-quality projects.

As a permanent exhibition and sales platform of CAETE, the permanent exhibition hall has completed its expansion and upgrade. It features two thematic exhibition areas—the Pioneering Zone for In-Depth China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation and the Dual Circulation of Global Trade and Commerce. There are eight functional service areas, including the China-Africa Business Liaison Center, and 32 national pavilions established by African countries, which are committed to China-Africa resource integration, product exhibition and sales, trade matchmaking, and cultural exchange.
The event was hosted by the Embassy of Zambia in China and guided by the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province and other departments.
