A thematic event on the art of Chinese characters—"A single character makes you love China"—was held at the China Cultural Center in Paris recently. 

Eighty teachers and students from three middle schools in Paris participated, enjoying an immersive experience of the charm of Chinese characters and the profound world of Chinese culture. 

With "Chinese characters" as a focal point, the event featured a lecture, an exhibition, and experiential activities. Liu Zhiyi, a manager of the Hunan Songdan Chinese Character Art Museum, lectured on the topic of the Civilization Code of Chinese Characters, covering the origins, evolution, and philosophy of Chinese characters. On behalf of the museum, she presented a picture book Chinese Characters for Kids to the China Cultural Center in Paris, hoping to facilitate French friends' learning and understanding of Chinese culture.

The thematic exhibition displayed 26 representative works selected from the book Chinese Characters for Kids, vividly presenting Chinese characters for nature, humans, plants, animals, and buildings.

The event was co-hosted by the China Cultural Center in Paris and the Hunan Department of Tourism and Culture, and organized by the Hunan Songdan Chinese Character Art Museum.
