From May 24 to June 22, Changsha, Wuhan, Nanchang, and Yueyang cities have coordinated to set off a cultural and tourism consumption boom. Themed "Sending 100,000 cape jasmine flowers to you", the campaign aimed to benefit residents and tourists through various cross-border cooperative and creative activities.
At 9 o'clock on the morning of May 24, residents and tourists queued up in a long line to receive flowers at the public service center of the Tianxin Pavilion Scenic Spot in Changsha City. As the main Changsha venue in the four-city campaign, Tianxin Pavilion has been decorated with cape jasmine flowers everywhere. Tourists have also interacted enthusiastically with young men with their hair adorned with flowers.
On May 24 and 25, trolleys of cape jasmine flowers were set up at the Changsha Bamboo Slip Museum, the Baisha Well, the Binjiang Cultural Park, the Fire God Palace, and other tourist attractions. Ten cape-jasmine-flower-themed taxis drove through city streets to publicize the campaign. Young men with their hair adorned with flowers delivered cape jasmine flowers to residents and tourists in busy parts of the city.
Moreover, many online platforms such as DiDi (a ride service app), Meituan (a delivery service app), and Dianping (a restaurant app), as well as merchants of tea drinks, perfume, and coffee are distributing coupons or giving away benefits. During this period, residents of Wuhan, Nanchang, and Yueyang can enjoy a 20% discount on Tianxin Pavilion tickets with their ID cards.
The campaign is a prelude to the "My Hometown, My City" 2025 Yangtze River Tourism Season, followed by a plan for four-city travel exchanges on weekends, focusing on landmarks, delicacies, "cultural roots" tourism, and other recommended travel trips. At the end of June, the four cities will also jointly sign the "Framework Agreement on Strategic Cooperation Among the City Clusters in the Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River." This will further break down regional boundaries to advance the integration and sharing of regional cultural and tourism resources, facilitate the exchange of visitors, and foster joint brand building.
