The 13th China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Expo (CMGE) concluded in Chenzhou on May 20, 2025.

Themed "Picking a Star for You", the exhibition attracted more than 600 exhibitors from 35 countries and regions and received 240,000 visits. The total transaction volume hit 2.1 billion CNY, with a new single transaction record reaching 68.88 million CNY.

The expo featured four themed exhibition areas—minerals and gems, jewelry, fossils and meteorites, and arts and crafts. A variety of special activities were held, such as "mineral blind boxes" livestream sales, mineral science interactions, and a mini minerals fair, which combined mineral culture with modern consumption modes. Meanwhile, online live-streaming and offline experiences were integrated, attracting numerous young consumers and family groups. Through scenario innovation, the expo has introduced mineral gem collection into mass consumption, injecting a fresh momentum into industrial upgrading.

The expo has achieved remarkable results, witnessing stronger integration of exhibition and city development. Since becoming a permanent host of CMGE in 2015, Chenzhou has accumulatively attracted participations from over 1,200 enterprises across more than 60 countries and regions, and drawn 2.6 million visits, with the accumulative transaction volume nearing 20 billion CNY.

Related industries such as hotels, catering, transportation, and tourism have been driven by the expo, presenting a follow-up extension from short-term "exhibition effect" to a long-term growth momentum, and a shift from government-led to market-driven roles. CMGE has become one of the global top three and Asia's largest professional mineral and gem exhibitions.
