May 12, 2025 marked the 17th National Disaster Prevention and Reduction Day. On the occasion of the day, a centralized publicity and drill event of Hunan Province was held at the Binjiang Cultural Park, Changsha City.

The event was jointly organized by the Office of the Emergency Committee of Hunan Province and the Department of Emergency Management of Hunan Province, aiming to popularize disaster prevention and reduction knowledge and enhance the public's emergency response capabilities through practical drills, science-focused interactions, and cultural performances.

Additionally, the event showcased more than 20 new types of emergency rescue equipment, including BDS patrol drones, underwater robots, and high-power drainage vehicles, highlighting how technological advancements have significantly improved rescue efficiency.
