The first six-axle broad-gauge electric freight locomotive developed by the CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd. was delivered from Zhuzhou to Kazakhstan on April 27.

Customer-tailored for a Kazakh client, it is the first electric locomotive designed to meet EAC (Technical Regulations of the Customs Union Conformity Certificates) requirements and supplied to an enterprise outside the railway sector.

This locomotive project represents the latest achievement in the cooperation between the CRRC Locomotive and Kazakhstan in locomotive sector. The subsequent mass deliveries will help boost modernization and upgrading of Khaskhstan's locomotive sector, facilitating connectivity of regional economy across Central Asia.
