The 24-hour self-service area in the service hall of the Changsha Municipal Government Service Center has been upgraded recently. The self-service area, originally located in the central hall of the service center, has been relocated to the north hall and is now directly accessible to the public, making it more convenient for citizens to handle their affairs.

The self-service area is equipped with various smart self-service terminals, including integrated government service machines, self-service real estate inquiry machines, and self-service drivers' health examination machines. The newly added "smart government service kiosks" provide exclusive spaces for handling specific transactions, ensuring efficiency and convenience.

Currently, 53 high-frequency matters can be handled on a self-service and one-stop basis, including social security payment certificates from the human resources and social security authorities, medical insurance participation certificates, housing fund settlement certificates, entry-exit endorsements from public security organs, and real estate ownership status certificates. Additionally, over 1,700 matters processed online can be queried via the internet. There are 12 types of personal "one-stop services" and 12 types of enterprise-related "one-stop services" available for online queries and processing through self-service terminals.

The self-service area handles an average of over 400 transactions daily. The average processing time for self-service transactions is 3 to 5 minutes, which is 70% shorter than the processing time at traditional service windows. During weekends and nighttime hours, if citizens encounter any issues while handling their affairs, they can call the on-duty phone number posted in the self-service area for assistance. Staff will promptly respond and provide necessary help.
