2nd National College Student Career Planning Competition Award Ceremony Held in Changsha

The demonstration and award ceremony for the national finals of the 2nd National College Student Career Planning Competition was held in Changsha on April 19, 2025. Huai Jinpeng, secretary of the CPC Leadership Group and minister of the Ministry of Education, made a video speech. Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, presented awards to the winners. Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, delivered a speech.


On April 19, the demonstration and award ceremony of the national finals of the 2nd National College Student Career Planning Competition kicks off in Changsha.

The competition was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Hunan Province. Initiated in October last year, the competition has attracted 15.07 million students from 2,763 colleges and universities across the country to attend. After rounds of selection, more than 750 contestants advanced to the finals, competing for  the gold, silver, and bronze awards for student employment and student growth categories. Excellent organization awards and special contribution awards were also set for colleges, universities, and local authorities. The Xiangjiang Declaration, which calls on national college graduates to serve the most needed places in China and strive for a better future, was released at the ceremony.


Xiong Sihao, vice minister of the Ministry of Education; Zhang Ling, vice mayor of Tianjin Municipality; Zhang Yingchun and Qin Guowen, Hunan provincial leaders; Lin Huiqing, director of the Expert Committee of the National College Student Career Planning Competition; Qu Zhenyuan and Wang Jianguo, deputy directors of the Expert Committee of the National College Student Career Planning Competition; Yi Hong, secretary of the CPC Committee of Central South University; and Li Jiancheng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of Central South University, were present.
