Meituan Travel data shows that post-2000 young people are forecasted to make up an impressive 63% of visitors to Changsha during the 2025 Qingming Festival holiday. Tourists are mainly from cities such as Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, Nanchang, Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Hangzhou, Chongqing, and Xi'an. Additionally, demand for four-star hotels in Changsha has increased by over 30% during the period. Changsha South Railway Station and Wuyi Square have emerged as hotspots for hotel searches, while river-view rooms near Orange Isle are highly sought after.
The Qingming Festival holiday is an ideal time for spring outings, with outdoor leisure activities like camping, fruit-picking, and hiking gaining significant popularity. According to Meituan data, in the week preceding the holiday, searches for "camping barbecue" surged by 577% compared to the previous week, while searches for "blueberry picking" skyrocketed by 541%.
