At 5:00 a.m. on March 31 (local time), nine members of the second batch of Yuelu Blue Sky Rescue (BSR) Team arrived in Mandalay, Myanmar, joining the first group of members who had arrived earlier. After receiving the task assigned at the dispatch center, they went to the designated area to carry out searching and marking by using life detectors. The third batch of the rescue team to assist Myanmar earthquake relief is scheduled to depart from Changsha on April 1.
It was learned that there were several Hunan rescue forces engaging in the earthquake relief work.
On March 29, under the unified arrangements of the Ministry of Emergency Management and the Department of Emergency Management of Hunan Province, four members of Miluo BSR Team went to Myanmar to participate in rescue efforts, bringing along emergency communication equipment, life detectors, medical first aid supplies, and other earthquake rescue gear.
Meanwhile, Sany Group exerted its rescue advantages to offer assistance immediately. Its Thailand Branch in the Asia-Pacific Region responded quickly, collaborating with the Sany Foundation and contacting the local rescue command center in Myanmar immediately. They learned about the demand for construction machinery in the earthquake-stricken area, and urgently deployed construction machinery to Mandalay. Staff members of the Thailand Branch also actively worked on procuring disaster relief supplies, including large quantities of food, drinking water, tents, blankets, medical supplies, and other materials urgently needed in the disaster area.
On the afternoon of March 30, three rescue workers from Sany Group arrived in Yangon, Myanmar, and immediately contacted excavator operators. On the morning of March 31, they arrived in Mandalay together with four local Sany employees. Together with the Rescue Coordination and Plan Management Administration of the Ministry of Emergency Management and the related personnel of Beijing Firefighting and Rescue Headquarters, they urgently coordinated the forklift, gasoline, and other necessary materials for rescue.
