The Hunan delegation attending the third session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, held its first plenary meeting in Beijing on March 3, 2025. Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.

Shen Xiaoming was elected as the head of Hunan delegation while Mao Weiming, Wang Shuangquan, and Wu Lan as the deputy heads. Deputies present at the meeting also included Du Jiahao, Hu Xusheng, Yang Weigang, Jiang Difei, Zhou Haibing, Zhu Yu, Ye Xiaoying, and Li Jiancheng.

The meeting conveyed and studied the spirit of the meeting for delegation conveners of the third session of the 14th NPC, and deliberated the lists (draft) of presidium and secretary generals of the session, as well as the agenda (draft) for the session. It also viewed and approved the proposals that will be submitted on behalf of the Hunan delegation.
