A group of Ethiopian purchasers paid a visit to the Yongzhou Land Port Cross-border E-commerce Center on February 16. After learning about the traceability of products, Abebe Tesfaye, a representative of the Ethiopian Federation of Commerce and Trade, stated that "the deep processing technologies for agricultural products and cold chain packaging solutions here are exactly what we need. We have identified several companies and hope to initiate collaborations with them."
The Yongzhou Land Port Cross-border E-commerce Center is the first digital cross-border exhibition and trade complex in southern Hunan. With an exhibition area of 1,000 square meters, the center mainly showcases Yongzhou's characteristic intangible cultural heritage products and deep-processed agricultural products. Since the launch last year, the center has focused on building a three-dimensional exhibition and sales system that combines a physical showroom with an industrial cloud platform, aiming to create an "everlasting trade fair" for China-Africa economic and trade cooperation. The center has currently established a trade network covering 25 African countries and has become an important window for Yongzhou to dovetail with China-Africa economic and trade exchanges.
Lu Leifeng, head of digital operations at the Yongzhou Land Port, noted that the system has accumulated data of 13,600 overseas buyers. Through big data analysis, the system can precisely match supply and demand. To deepen the strategy of "buying and selling globally," the Yongzhou Land Port has launched a plan of "100 Enterprises Going Global," recruiting high-quality suppliers worldwide. Companies that settle in the port can enjoy a reduction of cross-border freight costs by 30% through an exclusive logistics channel. A digital marketing team will provide customized promotion plans for these enterprises, and a professional legal team will provide compliance support for overseas operations.
Yang Haozhe, general manager of the Yongzhou Land Port Supply Chain Company, noted that the land port is building a full-industry-chain service system. In addition to 40,000 square meters of intelligent warehousing that is under construction, supporting facilities such as a cross-border livestreaming base, a RCEP service center, and a supply chain finance platform have already been put into operation. This has helped create a complete ecosystem from product display to transaction fulfillment.
Currently, the Yongzhou Land Port Cross-border E-commerce Center has completed 29 international trade matching arrangements, with a total cross-border value exceeding 100 million CNY. The center will continue to inject strong momentum into the initiative of "Hunan products going global."
