The 2025 Hunan Provincial Spring Festival reception was held in Changsha on January 23. Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, delivered a speech. Secretary Shen extended Spring Festival greetings to all Hunanese and friends from all walks of life, on behalf of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, the People's Government of Hunan Province, the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, and the Hunan Provincial Military Command. Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, presided over the reception.

Mao Wanchun, chairperson of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee; provincial leaders and senior comrades Yang Zhengwu, Chu Bo, Zhou Bohua, Wang Keying, Hu Biao, Wang Shuangquan, Wu Guiying, Sui Zhongcheng, Xie Weijiang, Wei Jianfeng, Yang Haodong, Zhang Yingchun, Qin Guowen, Ma Yongsheng, and Wu Lan; and other sub-provincial leaders and senior comrades in Changsha, attended.

The attendees also included: the main responsible persons of provincial and central government units in Hunan, provincial enterprises, and universities in Changsha; the relevant persons in charge of independent military units above the regiment level in Changsha; some NPC deputies and members of the CPPCC National Committee in Changsha; the main responsible persons of non-CPC political parties, the Hunan Federation of Industry and Commerce, and the Alumni Association of the Huangpu Military Academy; the well-known personages without party affiliation and the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan compatriots; the overseas Chinese; individuals from the fields of nationalities, religions, economy, science and technology, education, culture, health, and sports; and, the representatives of model workers, workers, peasants, private entrepreneurs, public security officers, armed police officers, the families of martyred military officers, retired military officers, and firefighters from various sectors of the society.
