The CAETE Exhibition in Africa (Nigeria) and the 18th China Engineering and Technology Expo were held at the Abuja Trade & Convention Center, Nigeria. About 350 representatives from Chinese and African enterprises, business associations, financial institutions, as well as experts and scholars from all walks of life attended.

Ini Ebong, deputy managing director of the First Bank of Nigeria; Guan Shuai, general manager of the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) Nigeria Ltd.; and, Ding Song, general manager of Zoomlion West African Area, each made a presentation. A report of Green Development in Africa and China-Africa Green Development Collaboration (2024) was released on the site.

In recent years, Hunan has combined its "unique conditions" and "first-mover advantages" with "African endowment" to promote fruitful economic and trade cooperation with Africa, said Liu Delin, director of the Port Office of the People's Government of Hunan Province. He introduced that Hunan will actively implement the spirit of the 2024 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and a series of economic and trade initiatives. The province will strive to achieve a win-win situation through Hunan-Africa production and trade integration, promote mutual benefits through institutional innovation, and enhance mutual understanding through people-to-people exchanges, so as to jointly create a better future for the China-Africa partnership.

The exhibition lasted for three days, with exhibition areas for new energy, building materials (architectural hardware), machinery (engineering machinery and agricultural equipment), power transmission and transformation, home appliances and furniture, manufacturing, pan-infrastructure, pharmaceuticals and health, and comprehensive exhibits.

In recent years, Hunan has attached great importance to economic and trade cooperation with Africa, focusing on two national platforms—CAETE and the Pioneering Zone for In-depth China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation. It has been fully engaged in the "six centers" construction such as the African non-resource product distribution and trading center and building the "three areas and one lounge", to create a new hub for China's local economic and trade cooperation with Africa.
