The Hunan Provincial People's Government Web Portal started its annual "I Have Golden Ideas" campaign on November 29, 2024, to solicit opinions and suggestions for the 2025 Hunan Provincial People's Government Work Report. The campaign has been launched in cooperation with various media, government websites at the municipal level or affiliated provincial departments, government affairs new media across Hunan Province, and the "Xiang Yi Ban" Super Service App. The campaign aims to listen to internet users' opinions and suggestions on government work, and scientifically plan the work of the provincial government for 2025. Internet users can contribute to this government work through this special column, mapping out a brighter future for Hunan's high-quality development together. The solicitation will continue through the eve of Hunan's "Two Sessions" for 2025.

This is the seventh consecutive year that the People's Government of Hunan Province has launched the "I Have Golden Ideas" campaign for internet users on the provincial government work report. The provincial government has attached great importance to listening to and adopting opinions from the whole society. In the past six years, a total of 440 "golden ideas" from internet users have been included in the work report of the provincial government. Many of these constructive suggestions received approval from Hunan government leaders and have been implemented by the relevant departments. Internet users have actively participated, contributing a large number of insightful "golden ideas" to the development of Hunan Province, becoming a valuable force for its progress.

There are 19 topics set for soliciting opinions and suggestions on the work of the government in 2025, including policy implementation, rural revitalization, ecological protection, people's livelihood improvement, and social governance. All of these are centered on building Hunan into a national hub for important and advanced manufacturing industries, a sci-tech and innovation center with core competitiveness, and a pacesetter for reform and opening-up of China's inland regions. The topics are set through in-depth study and implementation of the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, President Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions on Hunan's work, and the Seventh Plenary Session of the 12th CPC Hunan Provincial Committee. New topics such as policy undertaking and implementation, market-oriented allocation of data and other factors, and the integration of culture and science and technology have been added. If internet users' opinions and suggestions do not fit into the above topics, they may select the "other" option for submission.

The "I Have Golden Ideas" campaign has been launched across various online platforms such as the provincial government web portal, WeChat, and Weibo, as well as the "Xiang Yi Ban" Super Service App. Internet users can leave messages via the column "I Have Golden Ideas" initiative by scanning any of the following four QR codes, signing up, logging in, and offering ideas on government work. Those "Golden Ideas" with significant reference value will be forwarded to the drafting team of the government work report. Opinions and suggestions involving the immediate interests of the public will also be delivered to the relevant provincial departments for study and action. People whose "golden ideas" are included in the government work report will receive letters of thanks and gifts in recognition of their contributions.
