On November 13, six national ministries including the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Transportation jointly unveiled the second batch of demonstration cases for transportation-tourism integrated development.

With the purpose of helping villagers get rid of poverty, the China Post Hunan Branch set up a themed post office at Shibadong Village in February 2017. This post office provides stamp sales, parcel delivery, and financial services. Additionally, it supports collective economic development through an integrated operation model of "e-commerce + life services + culture + tourism".

Shibadong Village has been lifted out of poverty long before, and is now striving forward to achieve common prosperity. The themed post office, as a cultural landmark in Shibadong Village, has become a vital platform for communication in the rural revitalization effort.

In this 60-sqm post office, visitors can find displays of poverty alleviation commemorative stamp albums, serial postcards themed on Shibadong Village's poverty alleviation stories, themed books, exquisite hand drawings, and videos and photographs. These showcase the remarkable changes that have taken place in this remote Miao village. Besides, a variety of local specialties are provided, such as preserved meat, camellia oil, and Miao embroidery. Ma Xiuzhen, head of the post office, often promotes local specialties and handicrafts produced by the villagers in her livestreaming.

Many tourists write their wishes on the postcards with a themed postmark and send them to their friends.
