The 2024 Special Promotion Activity of “The Taste of Hunan in Europe” was recently held in London, the capital of the United Kingdom (UK).
 
The event was hosted by the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, organized by the Hunan Business Service Center, and supported by the United Kingdom Hunan Association, the United Kingdom Hunan Commerce and Trade Association, and Changsha Commerce and Tourism College.
 
Chen Zhuoyi, deputy director of the General Office of the Hunan Provincial People's Government, noted that the promotion event is a key measure designed to further deepen exchanges and cooperation between Hunan and the UK. He expressed the hope that this event will be an opportunity to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between Hunan and the UK in catering, culture, tourism, and other fields, jointly promoting economic and social development of the two sides.
 
The chairman of the Advisory Board of the China UK Business Development Centre (CUKBDC) noted that the unique flavor of Hunan cuisine has brought a new culinary experience to London and added a bright color to London's diverse culture. He added that the CUKBDC will continue to support such cultural exchange activities to create a better environment for promoting friendly exchanges and cooperation between London and China as well as other countries.

At the event, the Hunan Business Service Center signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the United Kingdom Hunan Association on "promoting Hunan cuisine to Europe." The Changsha Commerce and Tourism College signed a cooperation agreement on Hunan cuisine culinary education and training with the University College Birmingham. The "Taste of Hunan" British Exhibition and Sales Center was also established.

Additionally, the event served as a platform showcasing the charm of Hunan's food culture abroad through cuisine display and tasting activities.
