The 19th Busan Fireworks Festival unveiled its curtain at Gwangalli, Busan, South Korea on the evening of November 9, 2024. Fireworks teams from all over the world presented a fireworks extravaganza against the backdrop of the Gwangan Bridge, featuring a combination of music and light displays.
The Hunan Huahuo Troupe Co., Ltd. (Fire-Show), as the representative of the Chinese team, brought a 15-minute artistic fireworks show to the audience. Its fireworks masterpiece "Colorful Clouds" made its debut on the international stage, showcasing the unique charm of Liuyang fireworks. South Korea's national leading public services broadcaster, Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) provided a live broadcast of the fireworks festival.
The Busan Fireworks Festival was initiated in 2005 as a commemorative event for the APEC Summit, and is held every year around October and November since then. It is not only Busan's most representative festival, but also South Korea's largest fireworks show. It has been held for 19 consecutive years, attracting millions of tourists every year.
During the period, Liuyang City delegation paid a visit to the Hanwha Group to learn about the production process at its fireworks factory. The delegates also visited the construction site where the Chinese and Korean teams were preparing for the fireworks festival. Both sides had an in-depth discussion on the future cooperative intention related to fireworks and culture and tourism, seeking new opportunities for the integration and development of the industry.
