Zhang Yingchun, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and executive vice governor of Hunan Province, met in Changsha with Tomas Cabral, minister of State Administration of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, and his entourage on October 25, 2024.
Executive Vice Governor Zhang welcomed the guests. She noted that Hunan and Timor-Leste have enjoyed increasingly close exchanges, strengthening cooperation in such fields as economy and trade, agriculture, and people-to-people exchanges. The Executive Vice Governor expressed the hope that both sides will continue to deepen exchanges between the two governments, enhance collaboration in agricultural projects, intensify personnel and people-to-people exchanges and science and education partnerships, and promote comprehensive communication and cooperation between the two sides to achieve greater results.
Minister Cabral thanked Hunan for its donation and for the province's supportive cooperation with Timor-Leste. He hoped that the two sides will continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation in agriculture and healthcare, better advancing the collaboration to a new level.
During the meeting, Hunan signed an agreement with Timor-Leste on intensifying cooperation, and held a ceremony to donate ambulances to Timor-Leste.
