The National Day holiday is around the corner. The Changsha Metro Group announced on September 27 that, all metro lines in Changsha will extend their operating hours to 24:00 on September 30, October 1, and October 7. In particular, the Hongqiao-Xiangtan North Station section of Changsha Metro Line 3 will operate until 23:00 on the above-mentioned days. This decision was made in light of the surging passengers on the day before the holiday and the last day of the holiday.

During the holiday, Changsha metro authority will improve its passenger transport capacity by extending rush hour train services, increasing the number of trains, and reducing intervals between trains. The network control center will pay close attention to the passenger flow of each line, and timely operate additional standby trains in case of a sudden and large increase in passenger flow to meet the travel needs of passengers.

Additionally, Line 2 will also implement a "short route + long route" operating mode to improve the utilization rate of transport capacity and the personnel evacuation capacity of key stations such as Juzizhou and Wuyi Square in case of a large passenger flow.
